There is something about a Martini,
A tingle remarkably pleasant:
A yellow, a mellow Martini:
I wish I had one at present.

"Losing focus and your carefully laid out plan is probably the

"You can do anything if you have enthusiasm.
Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes rise to the stars. Enthusiasm
is the sparkle in your eye. It is the swing of your gait, the grip of
your hand, the irresistible surge of your will, and your energy to execute
your ideas. Enthusiasts are fighters. They have fortitude. They have
staying qualities.
Enthusiasm is at the bottom of all progress. With it, there is accomplishment.
Without it, there are only alibis."
– Henry Ford

"To design is much more than simply to assemble, to order, or

What do YOU do with the leftover brine in your pickle jar? Did you
know it makes a fantastic base for cabbage soup? Delicious!
Another waste-not tip: The water drained from cooking pasta is also
a great base for soups. The starch adds a nice creaminess and thickness
to soups and chilis, which makes soup feel less watery and more hearty.

"There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that
is translated through you into action, and because there is only one
of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it,
it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The
world will not have it.
It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable
nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep
it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open."

You don’t have to have a plan for everything. Instead, you need to place

Trying to track down DVDs of the sharp, witty, technologically adventurous,
and historically significant cartoon, ReBoot,
I stumbled upon all sorts of goodies today.
ReBoot Revival
has exciting news about this first computer animated cartoon and its
ongoing fan support. There's even a book coming out, The
Art of ReBoot, and YouTube videos.
It's amazing how a dedicated fan-base can keep a show alive years after
any TV network has aired it. Oh happy day!
If you haven't watched ReBoot, check it out!

The Network
Executives have spoken. We don't always agree on what makes good
TV (What's not to love about a smart and sassy private investigator
like Veronica
Mars?), but apparently there are a few worthy replacements next
year for the favorites they've axed. (Thank goodness Heroes
is returning!)
To the amazingly talented writers and performers worth watching: Thank
you for showing us your best. To the powers that be: Keep it bright
and witty and you will have an appreciative demographic supporting your
networks.

Working Overtime – XTC
…And all the world is football-shaped
Its just for me to kick in space
And I can see, hear, smell, touch, taste
And I've got one, two, three, four, five
Senses working overtime
Trying to take this all in.
I've got one, two, three, four, five
Senses working overtime
Trying to taste the difference
tween a lemon and a lime
Pain and the pleasure
And the church bells softly chime…

I can give you twelve valid reasons right now why you shouldn't cross
the street, but that doesn't mean you should never do it. You have to
make the leap of faith – not be reckless or wild, but you do have
to throw yourself out there and just do it. It is scary, and you might
fail, but that is all the more reason to do it. That's what makes life
exciting. That's what lets you know you are really pushing.

Inherent in every one of us.

Under which our mind works
That we fail to realize it ourselves,
And that we have to seek
